Easter Blessings Card

Description:

Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro, with arms outstretched, is always blessing all those below him. The Cristo Redentor statue is visible virtually anywhere in the city. The statue's pedestal is the 2310-foot mountain, Corcovado. The contemporary Christ figure on top rises another 100 feet, its arms extending nearly 92 feet from fingertip to fingertip. The soapstone and concrete construction weighs app. 700 tons. French sculptor Paul Landowski and a team of artisans erected the statue to commemorate the hundredth anniversary of Brazilian independence from Portugal in1822. Due to budget issues, the centennial artwork wasn't finished until 1931, after help from the Vatican. The sleek and impressive Cristo Redentor statue was voted as one of the New Wonders Of The World in 2007.

If you like it, please share it. And I hope you will continue to enjoy my hundreds of other unique images. Thanks for your visit. Feel free to contact me if you would like this image without text for a cell phone case or other print-on-demand.

Ascent To Heaven

Lord Of The Skies 1

Lord Of The Skies 2

Lord Of The Skies 3
Description:

The Cristo de la Concordia monument is situated on a hilltop overlooking Cochabamba in central Bolivia. It is a copy of the famous Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. At 40.4m high and weighing 2,200 tonnes it is slightly larger than the Brazilian statue; it is the largest statue of Jesus in the world and the largest statue in the southern hemisphere. The Christ the King statue at Åšwiebodzin, Poland is slightly taller though without its 3m crown the actual figure of Christ is smaller.

About George:

George Oze is Hungarian-born, American photographer who lives in New Jersey, USA. His passion to pursue art and photography continued during his college years when he got involved with photography and worked for the University Press as a volunteer photojournalist. George is a busy professional with science and business degrees and extensive background in the pharmaceutical industry. He had the opportunity to travel on business and private and felt drawn back to his creative/artistic side as he began to take pictures again to capture the beauty of the places he visited.

Photography for him started out as a hobby and eventually turned into life-long passion and side business as George wanted to offer/share his photographic vision with other artists/the world. George’s work is primarily sold through photo agencies to professional photo researchers as he has limited time to market his own images. . George combines traditional photography and digital technology to create his vibrant art form. Most of his work includes vivid travel and sweeping landscape images and recently experimenting with the fine art abstract genre.
